Capital.com announced on 2 November that Capital Com Securities (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. had received a Capital Markets Services licence. MAS’s public directory lists the entity for dealing in securities, collective investment schemes and OTC derivatives, and for custodial services. It names Lim Ean Hien Tony as chief executive.
The company expects to start onboarding clients in early 2027, with no specific opening day or final product list yet announced. Its preparations include Singpass MyInfo identity checks, completed client verification before trading and mandatory two-factor authentication at sign-in. These are company-stated launch arrangements.
Tony Lim will serve as CEO and executive director of the local entity. His more than 30 years in Singapore’s capital markets include SIMEX, Singapore Exchange, DBS Vickers, Saxo Capital Markets and most recently leadership of IG Asia. The office at 9 Battery Road covers compliance, operations, client services and marketing.
Capital.com describes Singapore as its first licensed business in Southeast Asia. It plans to attend the Singapore FinTech Festival on 18 to 20 November. Lim said the immediate work concerns onboarding foundations, client protections, education and market information. Planned platform tools include analysis, in-app explanations, charting and stop-loss controls; licence scope alone does not confirm their final commercial terms.
