XM Profile password recovery: guide and troubleshooting
Follow five checkpoints for XM Profile password recovery, with guidance on missing emails, rejected passwords and verification prompts. MT5 recovery requires separate instructions.
This guide concerns XM Profile password recovery. Applicable countries, legal entities, account types, devices and interface versions are unspecified; screens, requirements and authentication options may differ. Availability for Thailand or every country is unconfirmed.
Before you start
Identify whether Profile or MT5 access needs recovery. If the offered recovery method uses email, check access to the registered mailbox; otherwise use the official support route.
What you will learn
Successful Profile access after changing the password and completing any requested verification. The supplied walkthrough does not demonstrate that outcome.
To recover XM Profile access, open XM's website and follow the recovery instructions available on its current login page. After changing your password, try signing in and complete any requested verification. The current reset form and MT5 recovery procedure remain unverified, so follow each checkpoint only if your screen offers the relevant option.

Where to start
XM Profile or Members Area
Open the current Profile login screen and use its password-recovery option, if offered.
MT5 trading account
Obtain XM's current MT5 login and password-recovery instructions through its support resources.
The official evidence does not establish the exact credentials required for either login or the MT5 reset procedure. Do not assume that changing a Profile password also changes an MT5 password, or that these checkpoints apply to MT5. Creating another account is not a password-recovery step.
Five recovery checkpoints
The illustrations have unverified provenance or current applicability. Follow the instructions on your current page if they differ from an illustration.
1. Open the current login page
Go independently to XM's website and follow its current Login link. Select the password-recovery option if one appears.
The first illustration is described as an official XM login page captured on 26 October 2026, with a recovery link below the password field. Its provenance and whether it matches the current layout remain unverified.

2. Follow the recovery form
If the form asks for your registered email address, enter it carefully. Follow the displayed instructions and correct any validation warnings before continuing. If another recovery method is offered, follow its instructions.
A request acknowledgement confirms only what the message states. It does not prove that an email has arrived, your password has changed or Profile access has been restored.
The second illustration is described as coming from a demonstration domain and showing a masked email address with a "Request submitted" acknowledgement. It does not establish current production behavior or email delivery.
Figure 2. Supplied example described as coming from a demonstration domain; capture date and provenance are unverified. The acknowledgement does not prove email delivery or restored access. Start from XM’s current website.
3. Check the recovery email, if applicable
If the recovery flow uses email, check your registered mailbox for a message corresponding to your request. Inspect the destination of any reset link before following it. Keep reset links and verification codes private.
A familiar logo or sender name alone does not authenticate a message. If a message is unexpected or its link destination looks suspicious, return independently to XM's website and use its support resources.
The cropped email example is described as showing "Password Reset Request" and reset-link text. It does not show inbox details or the actual link destination, so it cannot authenticate a message or provide a usable reset link.
Figure 3. Supplied email example; capture date is unverified. Inbox details and the actual link destination are not shown, so it cannot authenticate a message or serve as a reset link.
4. Follow the current password requirements
If the form has new-password and confirmation fields, complete both and make sure the entries match. Choose a unique password that meets every requirement displayed on your current form.
The demonstration is described as showing a requirements checklist, a range of 10 to 15 characters and a "Passwords do not match" warning. These details remain unverified as current XM requirements. Follow the requirements on your own form.
The illustration is also described as showing an empty confirmation field. Complete both fields if your form requires them. The image does not provide a recommended password.
Figure 4. Supplied demonstration; capture date and current XM requirements are unverified. Follow your current form and complete both fields if required. The image does not provide a recommended password.
5. Sign in and confirm access
Once the recovery flow confirms the password change, return to the Profile login page and try the new password. Complete any additional verification requested.
Submitting a recovery request, receiving a password-change notification and successfully accessing your Profile are separate checkpoints. Confirm that you can sign in before treating recovery as complete.
The notification example is described as headed "Profile Password Changed." The walkthrough does not demonstrate a successful login after the reset.

Troubleshoot recovery problems
These suggestions are general troubleshooting advice. They have not been demonstrated as fixes and do not promise a particular result from XM's service.
Problem
What to check or try
No reset email arrives
Check the address entered, spam or junk folders and available mailbox storage. Follow any resend instructions on the current page, or seek support.
The reset link fails
Return independently to XM's website and reopen the recovery flow. Request another link if offered. Contact support if the problem continues.
The new password is rejected
Check every requirement on the current form. Make sure the entries match and check for unintended spaces or a different keyboard layout.
Login still fails
Confirm that you are using the intended login screen and that autofill has not inserted an old password. For MT5 access, obtain platform-specific instructions.
An additional verification prompt blocks access
Follow the recovery instructions for that prompt, or contact support. A password reset should not be treated as a way to bypass verification.
Email-delivery deadlines, resend intervals and reset-link lifetimes remain unverified. Follow the instructions currently displayed instead of relying on a fixed waiting period.
If your registered mailbox is inaccessible or compromised
XM's support page directs readers to its Help Center and says its Customer Experience team can provide further help through available communication channels.
Use the options currently displayed there. Explain whether you need Profile or MT5 access and whether the registered mailbox is inaccessible or suspected to be compromised. Obtain the applicable secure verification procedure before submitting identity documents.
Specific support channels, required documents, recovery eligibility and completion times remain unverified. The evidence also does not establish a universal procedure for changing the registered mailbox.
Protect your recovered access
Consider using a password manager to create and store a unique password that meets the current form's requirements. Protect your mailbox and keep passwords, reset links and verification codes private.
After restoring access, review the security options available in your current account interface. The available methods and menu paths remain unverified.
