Exness trading costs depend on your account, exact instrument, position size and holding period. Start with the spread and opening-and-closing commission, then include applicable overnight financing, currency conversion and payment costs. Execution differences can also affect the final result.
Advertised minimum spreads alone cannot tell you which account will cost least. Compare equivalent exposure using the terms that apply to your account.
Establish the inputs before comparing accounts
Record your country and contracting entity, account type and server, account currency, exact symbol including any suffix, contract size, volume, trade direction and expected rollover dates. You can check these privately without sharing account credentials.
The same lot count can represent different exposure when contract sizes differ. Comparing standard lots, cent lots or different instrument contracts therefore requires more than matching the volume field.
Which Exness accounts charge trading commission?
Exness publishes the following account-level starting conditions:
| Account | Advertised spread floor | Separate trading commission |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Cent | From 0.3 pips | None |
| Standard | From 0.2 pips | None |
| Pro | From 0.1 pips | None |
| Raw Spread | From 0.0 pips | Up to USD 3.50 per lot per direction on most instruments |
| Zero | From 0.0 pips | From USD 0.05 per lot per side, depending on instrument |
These conditions come from Exness's account comparison, commission guidance, Raw Spread overview and Zero overview. They describe starting conditions. They do not provide exact-symbol quotes or establish availability in every country.
Exness describes Zero's zero-spread feature as covering its top 30 traded instruments during 95% of the day. Spreads can rise above zero during high volatility, and commission still applies. Zero account conditions

Read commission rates within their stated scope
The Raw Spread overview says commission is up to USD 3.50 per lot per direction on most instruments. The official forex guidance separately says Raw Spread forex commission starts from USD 3.50 per lot per side. These statements have different scopes; neither supplies the rate for every exact symbol. Check the applicable instrument schedule before calculating. Raw Spread overview, forex commission guidance
"Per side" means each direction of the trade. Exness says applicable commission covers both opening and closing volume, with both portions charged when the order opens. Multiply a per-side rate by two for a round trip. Add an amount that already covers both directions only once. Commission charging rules
Convert the spread into a cash amount
The spread is the difference between ask and bid. Consider a hypothetical five-decimal EURUSD quote with a bid of 1.08500 and an ask of 1.08508. The difference is 0.00008.
With a pip size of 0.0001 and point size of 0.00001, that difference is 0.8 pips, or 8 points. These quotes are invented to explain the units. Check the exact instrument's price format before converting. Pip and point definitions

Hypothetical unit illustration: with a pip size of 0.0001 and point size of 0.00001, the difference equals 0.8 pips or 8 points. These are not executable quotes.
The illustration's EURUSD prices are hypothetical and do not represent executable quotes.
Exness gives this formula:
Pip value = lots × contract size × pip size.
Using a standard EURUSD contract of EUR 100,000 and a pip size of 0.0001 gives a quote-currency pip value of USD 10 at one lot, or USD 1 at 0.1 lot. Do not apply these values to cent lots, gold or other contracts. A different account currency may also require conversion. Pip-value formula, forex specifications
A simplified round-trip calculation
For a position with a known pip value:
Estimated spread-and-commission cost = spread in pips × position pip value + commission per lot per side × lots × 2.
This model assumes an unchanged mid-price and equal spreads at entry and exit. It excludes overnight financing, conversion and execution differences. Exness explains that buys open at ask and close at bid. Under unchanged quotes, that round trip incurs one full spread. Order-price definitions
The following calculations use hypothetical inputs and a USD 1 pip value at 0.1 standard EURUSD lot:
| Hypothetical input | Calculation | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| 0.8-pip spread | 0.8 × USD 1 | USD 0.80 |
| 0.6-pip spread | 0.6 × USD 1 | USD 0.60 |
| Invented USD 2.50 commission per lot per side | USD 2.50 × 0.1 × 2 | USD 0.50 round trip |
Spread and commission are separate components; add them where both apply. The invented USD 2.50 rate is not an Exness tariff or an observed calculator result.

Original manuscript illustration; account labels and amounts are unverified and establish neither applicable fees nor an account ranking. See the article’s hypothetical calculations for the method.
The illustration's account labels and amounts remain unverified and do not establish an account ranking. Use the hypothetical calculations above to understand the method.
In another hypothetical comparison, USD 3.50 per lot per side produces USD 7 of round-trip commission at one standard lot. At USD 10 per EURUSD pip, this equals 0.7 pips. A commission account would therefore need a 0.7-pip spread advantage to offset that commission when compared with an account with no separate commission, assuming equal exposure and no other cost differences.
Build a planning estimate with the trading calculator
Exness's calculator uses account type, account currency, instrument, trading volume and leverage. Its spread-cost estimate uses the previous trading day's average. Results can differ from live conditions because of spread and currency-conversion differences. Trading calculator guidance
To make the estimate reproducible:
- Select the account type and account currency.
- Select the exact instrument, including its suffix, and enter the intended volume and leverage.
- Confirm all selected inputs before reading the results.
- Record spread cost, commission, pip value, margin and the separate swap-long and swap-short fields.
- Confirm whether the displayed commission already includes opening and closing before adding it to the spread cost.
The calculator's spread estimate is not an execution quote. Exness states that actual spread cost can only be determined when a real order opens. Calculator assumptions and fields
Crypto, indices, gold and stocks need their own contract specifications and commission schedules. Calculate their costs using the applicable contract size, pip size, currency and commission basis. The EURUSD example cannot supply those inputs.

Troubleshoot unexpected results
If an estimate seems too large or too small, first check the account type, exact symbol, lot convention, contract size, account currency and pip-versus-point units. A plausible number can still describe different exposure from the position you intended.
If commission appears larger than a per-side headline, check whether the amount covers both opening and closing. If two estimates differ, compare their inputs and assumptions before treating the difference as a pricing error. For an unresolved mismatch, ask Exness to clarify the applicable exact-symbol rate, stating whether each figure is per side or round trip.
Estimate overnight financing separately
Swap can debit or credit equity when a position crosses rollover. Exness publishes rollover at 21:00 GMT+0 in summer and 22:00 GMT+0 in winter. Check the applicable long or short rate and its unit: the website expresses swap in pips, while MetaTrader expresses it in points. Swap guidance
The normal triple-swap day for forex is Wednesday, except USDCAD on Thursday. Indices and stocks normally use Friday. Holidays and instrument conditions can change the schedule, so count charged rollover multipliers as well as calendar nights. Swap schedule, forex conditions
For a hypothetical chargeable position, assume a constant swap rate of −0.5 pips, a USD 1 position pip value and rollover multipliers of 1, 3 and 1:
−0.5 × USD 1 × (1 + 3 + 1) = −USD 2.50.
That is a USD 2.50 debit. Actual rates may change, and swap can instead produce a credit. Use the rate, direction, units and charging schedule applicable to the position.
Confirm swap-free eligibility
Exness's dedicated swap-free guidance says status applies across the Personal Area, but only specified instruments receive swap-free treatment. Users registered to trade in Islamic countries have separate rules. Trading activity affects qualification, and cancellation can expose current and future open orders to swap. Swap-free conditions
Before assuming an overnight exemption, open Exness benefits in your Personal Area, then Trading conditions and Swap-Free. Confirm instrument coverage and read relevant status notifications.
Allow for currency conversion and payment costs
Trading-currency conversion
When profit or loss needs conversion into the account currency, the conversion pair and applicable platform bid/ask rules matter. Consult the relevant MT4 or MT5 guidance for your setup. The conversion guidance does not establish a zero-cost conversion policy or a specific conversion markup. Profit/loss conversion guidance
Keep this separate from converting money during a deposit or withdrawal. If a result is already expressed in your account currency, avoid adding the same conversion effect again.
Deposits and withdrawals
Check the selected payment method in your Personal Area for provider fees, supported currencies, transaction limits and the predicted processing range. Exness describes processing information as an average-to-maximum predicted time. Regional method availability depends on the region where the account was registered. Payment-method information
Fees and processing times need to be checked for the selected method; these details do not establish a universal fee or payment-time promise. Treat payment charges as cash-flow costs. Allocate them to an individual trade only under an explicit assumption, such as distributing a funding charge across a stated number of trades. Avoid counting a funding conversion effect twice.
Compare the total while keeping margin separate
Use one worksheet row for each candidate account and exact symbol:
| Item | What to record |
|---|---|
| Matched exposure | Contract size, volume, direction and account currency |
| Spread estimate | Spread basis, position pip value and cash cost |
| Combined commission | Opening-and-closing amount, counted once |
| Financing | Expected debit or credit over the planned rollovers |
| Conversion | Relevant trading and funding conversion effects |
| Allocated payment cost | Amount and allocation assumption, if used |
| Margin | Required collateral, recorded separately |
Margin is reserved collateral. Higher leverage can reduce required margin, but for unchanged exposure and pricing it does not reduce spread, commission or the loss from the same adverse pip movement. Margin definition, leverage and pip-value guidance
Exness's Help Centre states that it charges no fees for inactive accounts or reactivating archived accounts. This policy does not remove other applicable trading or payment costs. Archived-account policy
The estimate depends on the applicable account terms, exact instrument, future spreads, financing rates, conversion and execution. It cannot establish a universally cheapest account or a precise personal quote.
